About Eskimo Radiators - Designer Radiators

The company launched itself to the public at
100% design 2002 with the outline range of flat fronted steel
radiators. The simple styling and bespoke nature of the product quickly
established Eskimo as a firm favourite with architects and interior
designers throughout the UK. 2003 saw the launch of the towelclip,
cheeky stationary inspired towel warmer featured in various publications all
over the world. 100% 2004 saw Eskimo move further into the world of
aluminium extruded radiators with the gorgeous ron. A series of sleek
ellipsoid aluminium extrusions available in a range of vertical sizes from
200mm up to 2m tall which convect heat beautifully. In the same year they
brought back the airing cupboard, realising that the modern home has a
combination boiler and no hot water tank there was a need for electrical
airing cupboards so ROCKY was born and he was lovely.

In 2006 Eskimo will be available in more shops up and down the country as
the company expands it's UK distribution. Products from all ranges will now
be available from stock including many of the standard sizes from both the
outline and ron ranges. Bespoke work will still be undertaken and made to
order but lead times will be reduced to under 2 weeks. In addition to the
already successful French distribution network Eskimo will be selling their
wares into Italy, Switzerland and Russia

As the brand has grown Eskimo have been commissioned for design consultancy
work; new lighting for the yha as well as exclusive ranges of towel warmers
and bathroom accessories for various companies around Europe.

Eskimo radiators have been used on a wide variety of existing architectural
developments including listed buildings like Mirarnorte in New Malden,
Surrey. The architect, Maxwell Fry was at the time in partnership with
Walter Gropius before the Bauhaus master left for America. The building has
undergone extensive redevelopment over the last 2 years; the new owner felt
that Eskimo's outline range suited the updated look for this classic example
      of British modernism.

New products are under development, expect another classic radiator next
spring as well as the long awaited completion of Eskimos project x.
